Michael Alig Meets Christian Lacroix
This was a group project in which we had to design for a specific designer, Christian Lacroix, inspired by an influential person. Michael Alig was the leader of the Nyc club kids scene in the 90s. He created these extravengent parties, full of hard drugs, alcohol and party favors. He created an entire lifestyle which then inspired the movie Party Monster. We wanted our collection to feel like just that, a fabulous, organza party monster maddness extravgenza.
